Outer steel and inner plastic protector is a kind of thread protector commonly used by oil pipe manufacturers at present. The structure is to press or embed the plastic bushing with the crimped steel ring, and then use the CNC machine tool to process the thread after pressing. The protector has high strength, especially impact strength. Because the thread is processed by CNC machine tool, its accuracy is high, and the anti-shock and slipping ability of the protector is higher than that of other types of protectors during transportation. The thread of the protector can also be processed according to the special requirements of the pipe manufacturer. The recovery of outer steel and inner plastic protectors is also relatively easy. Its only disadvantage is that the manufacturing cost is higher than other types of thread protectors.
